Lead Trust
Details:
A Charitable Lead Trust makes annual payments to The Dressage Foundation for a set number of years. When the trust term ends, the remaining assets are transferred to your heirs or other beneficiaries — often with significant tax advantages.
Donor Profile:
Charitable Lead Trusts are best suited for donors who want to:
- Provide meaningful support now.
- Transfer wealth to family members in a tax-advantaged way.
- Fund the trust with $1 million or more, since this strategy works best at higher levels of giving.
This plan is designed for philanthropically minded families who wish to leave a charitable mark today while securing financial benefits for the next generation.
Donate Your Home and Live in It
Retained Life Estate
Details:
With this gift, you transfer a property deed to TDF, and retain the right to use or live in the property for your lifetime. The tax deduction you receive in the year of the transfer is based on your life expectancy and the property’s current value, and you agree to cover expenses and maintenance of the property during your lifetime.
Donor Profile:
Similar to a gift of real estate, a donor who wants to retain use of their home for their lifetime but does not need or want to include their property in their estate plan will benefit from retained life estates.
